Assistive listening devices: compare the listening problem they solve
Explore remote microphones, television systems, hearing loops, and alerting devices without confusing them with a complete hearing aid substitute.
Add upfront costs and a low-to-high annual upkeep allowance over your chosen number of years. All defaults are illustrative.
Enter the complete upfront cost for the number of devices you need, including any separately charged fitting, accessories, and known tax or shipping. Enter annual upkeep separately: consumables, paid service visits, and a repair allowance that you choose. The two presets are illustrative arithmetic scenarios, not published prices or recommendations. Selecting a preset replaces the annual upkeep fields; it does not replace your upfront amount.
Total = upfront cost + years × annual upkeep. With the illustrative defaults, the lower total is $1,200 + 5 × $80 = $1,600. The higher total is $1,200 + 5 × $180 = $2,100. This is a planning range, not a confidence interval. A five-year horizon does not predict the life of a device.
No inflation, investment return, insurance reimbursement, financing interest, or automatic device replacement is included. Subtract only confirmed benefits from your quote before entering an upfront net amount, and keep the gross amount in your records. Do not count services twice if the quote already bundles them. Run separate scenarios for a replacement or an unexpected repair. This calculator does not determine medical suitability.
